As a Housing Project Worker you will provide housing and recovery support to people who have recently been homeless and are also struggling with substance and/or alcohol issues. Working with a blend of ‘Housing First’ and harm reduction initiatives, you will be responsible for supporting change and managing a caseload of individuals in our core and satellite houses. You will also be trained and deliver both opportunistic and structured interventions alongside our partners in delivery Change, Grow Live (CGL).
Within the model is a more structured psychologically informed environment, designed to prevent the escalation of substance misuse, reduce the harm of any current use and support the move towards behaviours that support wellbeing and active citizenship.
You will work alongside our additional support staff and Recovery Coaches who are trained to cover the project during late evenings and weekends.
Although based in our offices in Hatfield and Hemel Hempstead, you will work in our primary housing, across the network of satellite homes and within CGL bases. You will also be required to deliver occasional outreach services. The role requires skills that support managing risk, harm reduction, tenancy management and resettlement work.
Closing date for applications Friday 23rd August 2019.
