What about you?

We know that building and maintaining positive, healthy relationships makes a difference to successful recovery. Our team of family workers and coaches use their lived experience to support families in rebuilding trust, and overcoming the impact of substance misuse on their relationships.

What we offer

Our Family Support Service offers a wide range of support and activities which include:

  • Family Effect Groups: peer-led support groups where people can connect and share their experiences.
  • Foundations of Family: a 12-week, family-specific programme that builds confidence, resilience and coping skills and helps people make more informed choices.
  • One-to-one Workshops and Activities: one off workshops and activities, in person or online, built around themes and needs identified by family member and residents.
  • Coaching: support with improving wellbeing and creating change.
  • Volunteering: a five-day accredited family coach programme to help people develop the skills to support others impacted by a loved one’s addiction.

People learn to:

  • Develop and access peer-to-peer support.
  • Build resilience and wellbeing and keep safe.
  • Make confident, informed decisions for a positive future.
  • Learn about addiction to drugs and alcohol.
