Our community housing model across Lancashire combines complex needs supported accommodation through to abstinent based, shared and self-contained units. Our accommodation is supported by therapeutic programmes and provides opportunities for individuals to increase their potential for independent living.
Complex needs housing: across Hyndburn and Chorley we offer short-term housing options for those with complex needs. We offer a safe space for people to rebuild their lives. These schemes are commissioned by Lancashire County Council (LCC), and referrals must come via a local borough council.
Complex needs will be defined as someone who is multi-disadvantaged with two or more needs (primarily homelessness) which typically interact with and exacerbate one another affecting their physical, mental, social or financial wellbeing.
We take referrals from the boroughs of Burnley, Chorley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Ribble Valley, West Lancashire, Preston, Fylde, South Ribble, Wyre, Rossendale, and the city of Lancaster. Please get in touch with your local council to make a referral to our service. Priority will be given to referrals from Chorley and Hyndburn.
Transitional recovery housing: in Rossendale, Hyndburn, and Chorley we have a range of housing to support people at all stages of their recovery journey. Glen Valley House in Rossendale is a community rehabilitation home for those in detox or starting their journey. Southport Road and St James House offer self-contained flats for residents to begin their journey into volunteering, education, and independent living. We also provide shared homes for those ready to build meaningful connections and access recovery support. These projects are abstinent based, so the use of drugs or alcohol is not allowed.

Female only housing: In Chorley and Hyndburn, we offer FRESH, our Female Recovery Enhanced Supported Housing. This scheme provides women with a safe home to address any traumas they experienced which may have contributed to their substance use. All residents participate in daily interventions such as our trauma informed Thrive programme, the Freedom programme, holistic therapies and 121 key work support from our all-female staff team.
