Emerging Futures announce new leadership
In March, Emerging Futures Founder and CEO, Ray Jenkins, will move on from Emerging Futures as CEO, leaving way for a new leader. Today, we can announce the appointment of Claire Bloor as our incoming Chief Executive Officer.
Claire began her career 25 years ago working for a homeless charity, and she now joins us from the award-winning SARSAS (Somerset and Avon Rape and Sexual Abuse Service), where she has spent the last 6 years as CEO, working with a dedicated team to amplify the voices of survivors of sexual violence.
Prior to SARSAS Claire held senior leadership roles in a large charity supporting young people at risk in Sydney. She is the Chair of Governors at a local primary school and a trustee on several charity boards.
Commenting on her appointment, Claire said:
“It’s a real privilege to have been chosen for this role, and I am passionate about the work and mission of Emerging Futures. I started my career as a frontline support worker for a non-profit working with people experiencing homelessness, and I’m thrilled to be returning to the sector.
I look forward to meeting the talented, motivated teams at EF who deliver high-quality and empowering support services which open doors for people to positively change their lives.”
