Amelia joined Emerging Futures in 2019 and has managed multiple projects in her five years with the organisation, including both housing and community contracts. Amelia trained as an ‘Unlocked’ graduate and worked as a Prison officer for 2 years following completion of her degree in Psychology in 2017.
She is passionate about improving the landscape of support for people experiencing addiction and/or the criminal justice system. In November 2021, Amelia implemented the award-winning Prison Leavers Project in the North of England. She continues to develop bespoke training for EF which challenges the prejudiced views associated with people affected by substance misuse and the criminal justice system.
