Driven by a passion for educational excellence and child welfare, David began his career over 25 years ago as a science teacher. He joined Venturers Trust as Interim CEO in October 2023, bringing extensive experience in strategic leadership and safeguarding.
Prior to this, David served as CEO of E-ACT, where he transformed the educational and financial performance of 29 academies. His career spans roles from classroom teaching to executive leadership, including pioneering work in data-driven education improvement in the US and UK. He is the co-founder of StepStack Ltd, a mobile app encouraging teen activity, and founder of Red Lodge Learning Ltd, offering strategic support to educational organisations.
David is a published author, sought-after speaker, and visiting lecturer at the University of Bristol. He lives in Clevedon with his family and enjoys long walks on the beach with Barney, their Bernese Mountain Dog.
